Course Description
This course is designed to teach Officers on how to defend themselves when encountering a combative subject. This course will also provide Officers with the knowledge to employ restraint techniques that will quickly subdue an aggressive/combative subject who refuses to comply with an Officer’s commands. Unfortunately, more and more police officers are assaulted on a daily basis; therefore this course is designed to give us the edge to survive a physical attack!
According to FBI Statistics, in 2004 there were 59,373 assaults on police and within the last decade, an averages of 16,505 officers have been injured yearly in assaults. After learning of these statistics, D.E.E.P. Undercover has recognized the importance that officers need basic skills to protect themselves from harm and/or even death.
Due to D.E.E.P. Undercover’s commitment to help officers survive, we reached out for the best instructor we could find, Regis Lebre, Team Maxercise Jiu-Jitsu, a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a world champion Jiu-Jitsu fighter. Regis puts on an outstanding self Defense Course for the officers, showing them various simple techniques to survive an attack and increase their odds from getting injured.
Obviously repetition will make an officer more sufficient in self defense, therefore, D.E.E.P. Undercover is looking to expand the Law Enforcement Self Defense Training to one (1), two (2) hour "Hands On" seminar with Regis once a month. D.E.E.P. Undercover will work closely with Regis & Team Maxercise to prepare a schedule of the upcoming seminars.
