Course Description
This course was developed to rapidly screen and presumptively identify common illicit substances of abuse. The basic competency course is designed to provide a law enforcement officer with the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully employ the system in the field.

The course consists of classroom lecture, a PowerPoint presentation, hands on field-testing exercise and a written competency examination. Successful completion requires a minimum score of 80% on the examination and satisfaction completion of the field-testing exercise. Training materials include the NIK Polytesting Instruction & Training Manual.

After the successful completion of the course, the attendees will receive a certificate issued by Armor Holdings, certifying the officer in the use of The NIK System Of Narcotics Identification.
